I recently posted this picture on my social media and a dear friend suggested that I share its importance and relevance on my blog, so here is goes…

Not only is this a perfect example of my type A personality, it is a HUGE motivator for me to reach my #1 micro goal this year- to run 500 miles in 2019. I call it a “micro” goal, because it is a stepping stone for my ultimate goal of running a marathon.

Running has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember. I have always had a difficult time with breathing while running and I always just gave up.

Recently I realized that I AM DONE GIVING UP! It doesn’t matter how slow I go, as long as I don’t stop. So, I downloaded the 13.1 app on my phone (I’ll be downloading the 26.2 app when i am done with this one!) and I run 4-5 days per week. I have found something that works for me! This app breaks down the runs into intervals that gradually get longer over time so I am easing into the deep end.

Regardless of how I’m doing it, I AM DOING IT! I get excited about coming home and running on my run days! ME!!!! 😳 And I haven’t died during any runs…yet! But seriously, folks, if I can do it, what the hell is your excuse??

Now, find what works for YOU and go after it! Run, walk, crawl if you must, but don’t stop!

And find a way to visually track your progress- you’ll be surprised how motivating it is!

Now GO, scoot, get out there and make those goals your bitch!
