It’s been a long time…too long…since I’ve posted last. Between wrapping up the end of the school year, getting some upsetting news and realigning my thinking to accept that news, I did not feel like I was in the right frame of mind to post here, but then I realized if I can’t air my feelings here, where can I? So, here I am, back in the swing of things!
So far this summer I have gone kayaking several times with my family. This is my new favorite way to decompress. I am gettting a fantastic arm workout while spending time with my family away from electronics and just enjoying nature.
I have also gone to Nantucket with my husband, his parents and some other friends. It was a long, but relaxing, day and although shopping would have been expensive there, it was still nice to walk around and browse the shops.
I have also been taking an online course for PDPs for my license and reading by the pool whenever possible. Lately, though, I have been talking with a group of amazing women who have been helping keep me motivated to get my 10,000 steps per day in! While we all come from different walks of life and we all have different goals, we have all been motivating each other to reach those goals each day.
Right now, well after I post this, I am getting in a sweaty workout before going to dinner with friends and my husband. I hope you are all finding different ways to enjoy your summer while staying focused on your goals…it’s all about balance, people!
